In my Germany haul I showed you guys I bought two new face washes. I really like using face wash and I wanted to try out some new ones. I chose to buy one by Neutrogena, the Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Face Wash and one by Garnier, the Clear Skin Daily Anti-Pimple Face Wash. After using both of them for a while it’s finally time for the review. If you’re interested in finding out how I like them and which one I like the best, keep on reading!
Let’s start off with the Garnier face wash. This one comes in a big blue bottle with a pump on top. I really like the fact that it comes with a pump. To be honest, that was one of the main reasons why I wanted to buy this face wash so bad. The bottle itself looks quite pretty for a face wash bottle and I like the size of it.
This particular face wash is made for oily skin with imperfections. As most of you guys know by now I have pretty bad oily skin and lately I have been getting more and more imperfections, so this product should be perfect for me.
On the back of the bottle you’ll find lots of information about this product. In short it says that it is antibacterial and has salicylic acid and zinc in it, which is supposed to keep the oil production under control and get red of the imperfections. Overall that sounds pretty promising and interesting, but also a bit too good to be true.
To be honest, I’m not sure about the claims. I feel like I would be lying if I said that it’s one big lie, but I’m also not true if it actually does a lot for my skin.
Something I do know about it is that it has a very specific feel to it, something I didn’t expect at all. The thing is that this face wash has a very cooling effect. A very, very cooling a fact to be real. If you have ever used Chilly Gel, it has pretty much the same effect as that but instead of cooling your delicate parts this cools your face. It’s a very strange experience, especially when you’re not aware of the fact that it is going to happen, but I do quite like it.
Overall I think the Garnier Skin Active Daily Anti-Pimple Face Wash is quite a nice product. The claims are a bit exaggerated, but I wouldn’t say it’s one big lie either. I do really like the way it works, it cleanses my skin nicely and it is great at getting rid of my makeup.
The Garnier Skin Active Daily Anti-Pimple Face Wash is available at the drugstore for €2,95.
Onto the second face wash, the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Face Wash. Neutrogena is quite a difficult brand to get your hands on in the Netherlands, so I’m always pretty excited when I find it somewhere, which is the main reason why I bought this one.
The thing I like about Neutrogena as a brand is that they don’t just have one range for oily/problem skin, but you actually get to choose which range you want. I chose the Pink Grapefruit one because I have heard so many good things about in on Youtube that I really wanted to know what the fuzz is about.
The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Face Wash is in my experience in one word: amazing! A while ago I randomly broke out and my entire forehead was covered in small pimples/bumps, and this stuff got rid of it in no time. After using it twice almost all of the bumps were gone, which I think is really impressive.
I also really like the way it smells. I like that even though it’s a nice scent, it isn’t too strong. Besides that I also like the how little product you need to wash your entire face. A little bit goes a really long way with this product, which is definitely a good thing.
All together I think the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Face Wash is incredible. I am so impressed by how fast it got rid of my break out and I really enjoy using it on an everyday basis. I highly recommend trying out the Neutrogena skin care products!
The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Daily Face Wash is available at DM for €3,75.
So, overall I like both face washes. They are both great when it comes to getting rid of my makeup and making my skin feel fresh and clean. However, I am a little bit more impressed by the Neutrogena one, just because it got rid of my break out so quickly. But aside from that, they are both equally amazing and definitely worth the try!
That was it for today’s review. I hope you liked it and let me know which face wash you like using the most!
