Last time I went to DM I came across these new P2 lipsticks, the Full Shine Lipstick. I love shiny and sheer lipstick so this collection seemed to be right up my alley so I decided to take one of the colours with me. After trying it out for a while it’s finally time for me to review it. If you’re interested in finding out more about this gorgeous lipstick, keep on reading!
The P2 Full Shine Lipstick comes in a slightly different packaging than I’m used to. It’s round and completely silver and has a little round thingy on the side that says “P2”. I like the packaging and I like the shape. It’s not as wide as the other P2 lipstick packagings and it doesn’t have a slanted top, which makes storing the lipsticks upside down easier.
There are a total of 9 different shades available within this Full Shine Lipstick range. There is pretty much one of everything in the range. There is a purple shade, a red, an orange and a few more nude pink shades. I really like that the colours are so diverse because that way there is something for everyone.
The colour I bought is called 080 Tell Me A Tale. Tell Me A Tale is a very pretty brownish nude pink colour. On one hand I felt like this could turn out to be the perfect everyday nude lipstick but on the other hand I felt like it might be a little bit too brown to be such a wearable shade. After testing it out I can tell you this is in fact the perfect everyday nude lipstick. I love wearing it on an everyday basis and I do that a lot. It looks good with any look, it’s appropriate for every occasion and it’s an easy colour to wear.
Quality wise this lipstick is pretty much amazing. It has a really nice texture to it. It’s very smooth and quite glossy and therefore very comfortable to wear. It’s pretty light weight and feels like a lipbalm on the lips, which is something I really like about it.
Pigmentation wise it’s even better than I expected it to be. It’s not super sheer at all, it’s actually medium to high coverage and I really like that. Because of the glossiness it has to it it still looks very wearable, even though it’s such a pigmented product. I think that combination is absolutely amazing.
The staying power is decent. Most shiny lipsticks don’t stay in place for too long and this lipstick is no exception. It’s not bad at all, it does definitely stay in place for a good 2 to 3 hours, but it won’t survive a big meal or a night out. But for me, that’s not a big problem. However, if you are a big long lasting lip product fan, this might be a reason to skip this range.
But overall I think the P2 Full Shine Lipstick is really amazing. I have been wearing it a ton lately and I’m sure I’ll continue doing that for a very long time. It’s super comfortable to wear, it’s pigmented and I’m in love with the colour. For me this is definitely the perfect everyday lipstick. I love it!
The P2 Full Shine Lipstick is available at DM Drogerie for €2,25.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know if you have tried a lipstick from this range yet!
