Makeup Revolution Lipstick

MUR Lipstick Packaging

About three million ages ago I went to London and bought a lipstick by Makeup Revolution. I was very excited about it and planned on reviewing it pretty quickly, but in reality it took me about half a year. But today it’s finally time to actually review it. So, if you’re interested in finding out more about this gorgeous Makeup Revolution lipstick, keep on reading!

MUR Lipstick

The Makeup Revolution lipsticks come in a very simple packaging that is pretty similar to the packaging of the Makeup Academy lipsticks. It’s black and has a little thingy on the bottom that shows which colour you’re dealing with. Overall the packaging is pretty simple, but it does have something to it. I wouldn’t necessarily call it professional or luxurious looking, but it doesn’t look cheap either.

Makeup Revolution has a pretty big collection of lipsticks and therefore there are lots of shades available. It was quite a task to chose just one, so after thinking a lot about which colour I really wanted I ended up buying one called Bliss. Bliss is a very pretty bright coral/peach shade. It’s kind of similar to MAC’s Coral Bliss, but it’s a bit more orangy.

MUR Lipstick Color

Because Bliss is quite a bright shade, it’s not a colour I would wear on a daily basis. To be completely honest with you guys, I haven’t worn it a lot at all. It’s just not a colour I gravitate towards frequently, especially not during the colder months. For me this is definitely a fun summer shade, and since it’s not summer I hardly ever wear it.

I also think that it’s not the easiest colour to wear and I don’t think it suits everybody. I’m not a specialist when it comes to colours whatsoever, I just wear whatever I think is pretty, but I do know for a fact that orangy colours like this one are just not for everybody. So before you buy it, make sure it suits you!

The Makeup Revolution lipsticks all have a really nice texture. They feel really nice and lightweight on the lips and they apply very smoothly. The nice thing is that they aren’t too smooth and creamy, so they do stay in place pretty well.

MUR Lipstick Lip Swatch

Pigmentation wise it’s actually pretty impressive. The colour pay off is amazing and it only takes one layer in order to achieve full coverage. It’s so hard to imagine that such a budget proof lipstick can be that amazing, but it’s just the truth!

Overall I think this Makeup Revolution lipstick is really pretty. The texture of it is really nice and it does stay in place for quite a while. The colour is really pretty as well, but it’s not something I wear a lot during the colder days, so it’s not something I gravitate towards a lot in the moment, but hopefully by the time the weather starts getting better I will get a lot more use out of it!

The Makeup Revolution Lipsticks are available at Superdrug and online for £1,-.

That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know if you’re familiar with the Makeup Revolution lipsticks and if so, how you like them!
