A while ago I reviewed one of the Maybelline Color Tattoo’s from the Creamy Mattes collection called Crème De Rose. I really liked that one, so a while ago I decided to buy the other shade from that range as well, called Crème De Nude. After trying it out for a while I decided it was time for me to review it. If you’re interested in finding out whether or not this colour is as amazing as the one I reviewed before, keep on reading!
The Maybelline Color Tattoo from the Creamy Mattes collection comes in the same packaging as all the other Maybelline Color Tattoo’s ever. I like the packaging, I like it a lot. It’s simple, it’s classic and because it’s quite heavy it feels quite luxurious. Overall, great packaging!
The colour I bought is, as I mentioned before, called Crème De Nude. Crème De Nude is a very basic and neutral beige colour with a bit of a yellow undertone. It’s pretty much the perfect shade if you just want to use it as an eyeshadow primer and don’t want to add any colour.
Application wise this product works really nicely. It’s very creamy and easy to work with, but it’s not too smooth and slippery, so once it’s applied, it stays. I really like that about the Maybelline Color Tattoo’s and in my opinion, that is what makes these Maybelline Color Tattoo’s (slightly) better than the MAC Paint Pots. It’s just a tad bit easier to work with and I feel like it has a better formula.
Staying power wise this Color Tattoo didn’t let me down at all. It’s just as amazing as the other Maybelline Color Tattoo’s: it stays put from the second you apply it until the second you take it off, it’s incredible.
Pigmentation wise this Color Tattoo is great. It doesn’t really show up on the swatch since it’s pretty close to my skin tone, but I literally have no reason to lie to you, so you can definitely trust me on this one. Even though the pigmentation and pretty much everything else about this Color Tattoo is amazing, there is still one thing that makes me like it a little less than the Color Tattoo in Crème De Rose.
That thing is that it’s just a bit too yellow for me. If I use a cream shadow in a neutral colour like this, I don’t want it to interfere with the colours I put on top. And even though it doesn’t make that much of a difference, I still feel like whenever I use this Color Tattoo, there is something about my eyeshadow look I just don’t really like. I do have to say that that is a matter of preference, so that definitely doesn’t mean this Color Tattoo is bad, but I did want to mention it.
So, overall I think this Color Tattoo in Crème De Nude is another hit. The quality is just incredible, it really is the best you can get when it comes to cream shadows and aside from that I think it’s a great basic neutral shade which is always nice to have in your collection and is perfect if you just want to prime your eye but you don’t really like the way actual eyeshadow primers work. Overall this Color Tattoo didn’t let me down and I highly recommend it!
The Maybelline Color Tattoo in Crème De Nude is available at the drugstore for €9,99.
That was it for today. I hope you enjoyed reading today’s review and let me know which Maybelline Color Tattoo is your favourite!

I have a few of Maybelline Color Tattoos, however, my issue is I find it too dry! I’m not sure what my problem is but I was wondering if you had a comment about it? I really adore the colors but how on Earth will I be able to use it if it’s just way too dry! Not creamy at all. Has this happened to you? If so what have you done to fix the problem.
PS: I love the pictures, they’re very sharp, what camera do you use? 🙂 Keep up the good word, dear.

Dit product ken ik nog niet. Ik houd wel van mat en nude. De volgende keer ga ik zeker kijken bij de Maybelline afdeling. Bedankt. 😉

Great review! I have been on the hunt for this shade for a while now, as I think it might make a good alternative to the MAC paint pot in Painterly. xx
