Finding a foundation that completely matches my skin tone has been a struggle for me all my life. I am very, very pale and apparently beauty brands don’t seem to make foundations light enough for people like me. Therefore I try lots of foundations, hoping to find one that does actually match my skin tone. Today I’ll be reviewing one of those foundations. If you’re interested, keep on reading!
The foundation comes in a glass bottle with a silver pump on it. I love the packaging a lot. It looks very professional and high quality to me. Besides that I think that a pump is the most hygienic and easy way to get the product out of the bottle.
The L’Oreal True Match foundation is a foundation that completely matches your skin tone. Whether you very pale like me, or a little darker. L’Oreal claims that this foundation is super blendable and matches the skin colour and texture. That sounds a little too good to be true to me.
The foundation comes in lots of different shades. The thing I like about it is that they also have different undertones. They have foundations with warm undertones (W), cool undertones (C) and neutral ones (N). This way the foundation won’t be too yellow or too pink for your skin.
I have the foundation in the shade C1 Rose Ivory. This is one with a cool undertone. At the time I didn’t know a lot about that and I just grabbed the lightest one I could find, but I do have to say it matches my skin tone awfully well. It’s impressive.
The foundation itself is very thin. It’s one of the thinnest foundations I’ve ever owned. On one hand I love that about it because that is what makes it so blendable and so light on the skin. This is definitely not one of those heavy foundations. But on the other hand I do like somewhat thicker foundations. I feel like this one is pretty glowy. Because I have oily skin, I’m not really looking for a glow in my foundation.
When it comes to coverage I would say this foundation has medium coverage. Because it’s this thin I expected it to be very light coverage, but that’s not the case. This will definitely even out your skin tone and get rid of redness etc.
Over all I think the L’Oreal True Match is a great foundation. It comes in lots of different shades and it’s very light weight. I love how light it is, it almost feels like a second skin. Besides that it lasts a really long time too.
The L’Oreal True Match Foundation is available at every drugstore for €15,99.
I hope you enjoyed reading this review, and let me know which foundation is your favorite!
