Liphop Perfect Love Lipstick

About two months ago BornPrettyStore emailed me asking me if I would like to try out some of their products. Obviously I was in for that and I chose three products for a review. Today I’ll be reviewing the first product which is a lipstick. If you’re interested, keep on reading!

The first product I chose was this Liphop Perfect Love lipstick. It’s a very pretty matte lipstick that comes in a super chique packaging. I really love the look of it. I also really love the font they used to write “Liphop”. It kind of slightly reminds me of Topshop.

The packaging feels pretty heavy and opens and closes very nicely. It feels like you’re holding a 30 Euro lipstick in your hand while it isn’t that expensive at all!

The thing that shocked me was that the color of the lipstick is way brighter and out there than I expected. I expected a nude color but in real life I got a very bright pink shade. Luckily it’s a pretty pink shade. Even though I usually don’t wear bright colors like this, I do really like this one and I think I will wear it.

I would describe the color as a brigth barbie doll pink (in a good way). The lipstick is super appropriate for summer because of it’s brightness. I do feel like some of you might not really like bright colors like this. If you’re one of those persons you can also apply it in a dabbing motion and smooth it out using your finger. This way it will be less intense, but still really pretty!

The lipstick itself is pretty pigmented and matte. Most matte lipsticks tend to be drying. This one isn’t. I wouldn’t say it’s the most moisturising lipstick I’ve ever used, but it’s definitely not as dry as some other matte lipsticks. Besides that I do also think that it’s super easy to apply it. I am not that good at applying lipstick, especially not bright lipsticks like this one, but I feel like I did a pretty good job if I can say that myself.

It doesn’t really accentuate the dry patches on my lips, but it also doesn’t really cover them. In general I think that if you want to use bright matte lipsticks like this one you will need to scrub your lips.

Over all I’m pretty happy with this Liphop lipstick. Besides the fact that the color is way different than I expected, I think it’s a great high quality product. The texture is nice and the matte effect is really pretty!
