Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer

When it comes to Maybelline concealers, the Fit Me Concealer is one of the most popular ones. I have heard so many good things about it, that I just couldn’t resist giving it a try anymore. When I saw it at the drugstore I just had to take it with me. For a while now I have been testing it out, so I felt like now was the perfect time for me to review it. The Maybelline Fit Me Concealer comes in a pretty basic long, slim tube. It has a black lid and the rest of the packaging is clear. It’s not really decorated or anything like that. The only thing it says is Maybelline and Fit Me! and on the back you can find the slightest bit of information about the Fit Me concealer and the brand Maybelline itself. It’s, like I said, pretty basic, but I like that. Because of the black and clear combination I feel like it looks pretty professional and that’s always a good thing.

I bought this concealer at the DM Drogerie in Germany, and they only had two different shades. The one I have was the lightest one, which is number 10. This one is pretty dark for super pale girls like me and therefore it’s not a perfect match. However, I have read somewhere that when you want to cover up dark circles, using a slightly darker concealer first will help cancelling out the darkness. So therefore I decided to give it a try, even though it’s not really what you call a perfect match.

According to Maybelline this Fit Me concealer is supposed to give you a fresh looking appearance and it’s supposed to make small imperfections invisible. The fresh appearance part is already a no-no for me, but that’s mainly because this colour is just not light enough for me to have that effect, so I can’t tell you a lot more about that and about if it would be true if this concealer actually matches your skin tone.

The other part, about making small imperfections invisible, however, is true. This concealer has great coverage, actually more than I expected. It does a pretty amazing job at covering up my dark circles, which is definitely not a small imperfection, they’re in fact pretty bad.

The thing I love most about this concealer is for sure the texture. Most concealers I have used are either super sticky and therefore really annoying to blend, or they are very dry and settle into the fine lines which is not pretty either. This concealer is nothing like that. It’s not super thick but also not very thin, it’s super easy to blend, it’s not sticky, it’s not dry and it feels almost like silk. I really like that about it.

I find it hard to say something about the lasting power because I never use this concealer on its own, mainly because it would just look odd since this colour is just not a match, but in combination with the rest of my makeup it just stays all day. Most of my concealers do, so it’s not that impressive, but it is a good thing to know.

Over all I really enjoy using the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer. I do think it’s a shame that the lightest colour is so dark, but aside from that it’s just amazing. The texture is really nice and silky and it does an impressively amazing job at covering up my dark circles. I highly recommend this concealer if you’re on the hunt for a great all round concealer with medium to high coverage.
