HEMA Easy Shine Lipbalm

Not too long ago HEMA came out with a new lipbalm called ‘Easy Shine Lipbalm’. I wasn’t too sure about them until I read multiple positive reviews on it. I had to try one myself. Today I’m going to review the one I got. If you’re interested, keep on reading!

The lipbalm is packaged like a big lippencil. It reminds me of the Clinique Chubby Stick. I do like the packaging. The one I bought has a pink lid and bottom, but that depends on the color you’re getting. I do like the overall look of the packaging. It´s clean and simple and it doesn’t look cheap at all. The thing I like about it is that you can twist it up when you finished the first part of the balm. You don’t have to sharpen it.

The lipbalms don’t have names, only numbers. The one I have is number 5. There are about 8 (I guess) other colors available. Lots of them were sold out, this was the only one left I actually liked. Most of them are very pigmented and bright. This was one of the only ones left that was neutral and a little sheer.

I would describe the color as a summery pink with a little hint of coral/peach. It’s the perfect spring color. I really like colors like this.

As you can tell the lipbalm does contain a bit of shimmer. This is not that visible on the lips. It’s more like a shine. It’s gives the color a healthy and glowy look. Like you’re wearing a lipstick gloss balm thingy, which this basically is.

Besides that it’s also very moisturising. It doesn’t feel like a lipstick or lipgloss at all. It really does feel like a super soft lipbalm. I feel like this product really moisturises my lips, while making them look fabulous. That’s a great combo!

This is what it looks like on the swatch and on the lips. The pigmentation is decent and it adds a nice bit of shine to the lips. I do have to say that this is probably the least pigmented one, but I like that since I love sheer lipcolors. If you want a more pigmented one the rest of the collection is for you!

The only downside to this lipbalm is that the staying power isn’t what you call amazing. It’s decent. It’s like any other lipbalm. It’s not that the fact that it doesn’t stay on all day should make you not want to have it. It’s just something I felt like I needed to mention.

Overall I’m very positive about this Easy Shine Lipbalm. I like how moisturising it is, but still pretty colorful at the same time. I absolutely love using it and I absolutely love the color. I might even buy another one some time.
